Teladoc Coaching Center

Teladoc's Chronic Condition Management platform offers knowledgeable coaches to help members improve their health outcomes. However, the previous coaching feature suffered from low discoverability, misunderstanding, and a lack of a human touch. Our goal was to enhance the coaching experience and make it shine.

Learning about coaching

Previously, members had to find the coaching feature on their own. Through extensive research, we implemented a timely onboarding carousel that clarifies misunderstood aspects. This carousel ends with options to schedule a session, defer it, or close out, while also showing where to access the Coaching Center in the future.

Scheduling a session

The old scheduling form was burdensome, sluggish, and only available on the web, causing inconsistencies in styling and branding. We reimagined the form to be concise and efficient, asking only essential questions and assuming sensible defaults. Now natively available in the app, the form promotes consistent design and branding, and includes features like "Add to calendar" as requested by users.

Reviewing a session

Previously, members were often confused about their tasks between coaching sessions, with no automated notes or reminders. The new Coaching Center allows members to review past sessions, see their progress on goals, and access resources mentioned by their coach. It also consolidates information about upcoming sessions, which were previously only communicated via email.
